It's as if I am just now surfacing back into some kind of normal, but am not there yet.
I have so much tidying to do. I am mailing off parcels - just to clear my space again after an entire summer gone to my leg.
Since May 2 - all through June, July, August, September and now October - 6 months of only able to think about my sore leg.
Coming up for air.
Looking around.
Going slow.
Carrying tiger to mountain.

Then you are a tiger dear Mo, full of poetry and ideas.
DeleteMy 'carrying tiger to mountain' line is a movement from tai chi and describes how my body and mind feel at present. Careful.
To do the move, place the body as if you are carrying something very heavy that is also full of risk, and with that heavy dangerous thing, move slowly towards the right.

I love how Tai Chi is like slow motion swimming through thick air, have been practicing a loony catly form of Tai Chi with Ariel P Cat & The Moon directing the moves for nearly 17 years
DeleteAnd always, you stitch. Thank goodness. Your leg seems to be happier now. I'm glad.

Life is slow. Sometimes we want to go against the flow of the stream or make it go more quickly. And it doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteYou know you need time to connect your mind again to everything but your leg, don't you?
It is always time than we usually think we will need (note to self).
I wish you energy and patience.

Thank you for the good wishes Montse. I am feeling really good this month as I return to working on a new body of work - sometimes I love the new work and sometimes I am filled with self doubt about it, but I am so glad to be working again. xo
