Scoured cellulose

The two things that make us human:

1. Language.  Being able to speak and write and communicate and that our writing lasts beyond our lifetime.

2. Cloth.

But still …

The truck was parked in front and the tail lights were on.  I noticed this when I went out in my nightie to put my studio bags there, beside the vehicle.  Then I walked uphill behind the house.  In my dream, instead of walking down to the lake I climbed a hill, like the one where we planted our garden 40 years ago when we lived near Thunder Bay.  From above, I turned and looked back.

I saw Ned come out of the house and then I saw April come out too and I saw them have a brief hug and then she mounted her bike and left.

I had no idea that she had come home.  She must have seen my studio bag by the truck.  She must have known that I was awake.  Why didn’t she speak to me?  How did this occur, that she and her dad had a secret meeting ? It was probably to discuss her car, but still.

Last night’s dream.
