the old-ness of the cloth

I realize that my green heart piece has the same rough sensibility as a wool quilt I made in 2012,
So I look at them beside each other,
They are pinned on top of the whole cloth quilt found in Matt's mother's childhood home, rescued for me by Oona so that I can rescue it in some artful way.  I'm looking.
My famly is here this week.

this is me

this is me

making and thinking

I stitch as a way to show my own meditative reality.
Stitched cloth is very very real.

stitching the green leaf

skinny design wall and thoughts about time

These two pieces have been pinned to my skinny design wall for months.  I have figured out how to quilt the green one, but am folding it up again for now.

I plan to use this tiny design wall while I am mending my leg - I've set up a sewing area and am working on a huge project, but it's skinny.

time spent looking
time spent living
using time as a material
it may be invisible, but it is relentless
it has an effect on everything

Vivid morning

In the green morning I wanted to be a heart.     A heart.
In the vivid morning I wanted to be myself.      A heart.
