prayer flag

may gardens be wild like jungles, may nature never be tamed
may dangers create of us heroes, may fears always have names
may the mountains stand to remind us of what it means to be young
may we be outlived by our daughters, may we be outlived by our sons

poetic

There is meaning in the inter relationship of parts as well as in their particular contexts.

fragilitiy and courage

so many of these materials are in thrift shops and bottom drawers
so many of the original owners are dead or very old
these remain as brave markers

carrying tiger to mountain

It's as if I am just now surfacing back into some kind of normal, but am not there yet.
I have so much tidying to do.  I am mailing off parcels - just to clear my space again after an entire summer gone to my leg.

Since May 2 - all through June, July, August, September and now October - 6 months of only able to think about my sore leg.

Coming up for air.
Looking around.
Going slow.

Carrying tiger to mountain.

prayer flag

My bone is healing - it's healed actually -
new bone has formed, even over the screws.
We saw the x-ray.
The entire day yesterday was spent in the car going to and from doctor.
We left at 9 am, home 10 pm.
Ned went straight to bed - me too, but I got up to clean the studio.

I arranged the red edged hankies into a cross
for a prayer flag
