The more we avoid standing in the way of the materials and in the way of tools, the better chance there is that our work will not be dated.

The imprint of a time is unavoidable.  our work will outlast fashions only if it embodies lasting, together with transitory, qualities.

    I am pleased with the black stitching on the muslin as it shows the variety and difference between say, running stitch and back running running stitch - subtle things happen.

    I have also made a little booklet of stitches we used in the meditation panels, some of them original.

    Getting excited for my Newfoundland workshop. I am leaving today!
