Dear Heart

Embrace the word ‘No’

It’s like a box.  It gives boundaries and walls.

The box allows the creativity to expand with abandon because the limit pushes back into itself. 

‘No’ stops you in your tracks and opens up a new place to start.

    Ah, to live with cloth of your own hands around you...lovely.
    I am intrigued by the idea of this quote on "no" - not only in regards to creativity, but in my world of young children, where we are taught young children only need a yes environment. Something to ponder. Thanks.

      It is a complex idea. I think that Wooldridge means to set boundaries in your creative practice and can be understood when we consider a viewfinder. X
