And it’s so beautiful

Your book makes a distinction between ‘sitting’ and ‘posing’ and the two verbs describe the same thing in principle, but they don’t.  And I have the feeling that most writers of memoirs are going into their past, and they are posing as themselves at an earlier point in their lives and you are sitting for yourself, in the present, and that’s what gives the writing this strange quality.  It has a strange quality to it.  It’s hard to describe - I can’t.  But you are definitely sitting for your self.
