I realized before bed that I had to cut holes
woke this morning to truth
and trust

blanket work

my work with blankets
doesn't seem so odd
after my visit to Art Toronto this weekend

artwork is saving

still beautiful, still not true

sky with many moons

I like quilt baggage.
The large scale  - enough to cover a body, a family.
The weight of three layers.
The metaphor of protection.
The language of symbols, created by women.
and months of touching with the hand stitch
These add power.
