time passes

a fine connection to the past
a fine connection to the life
memory
a poetic sense
time intensive activity
sewing
time capsule

the stitcher is focused
sewing as an activity opposes acceleration
tender remembering
the act of it
time passes
time has passed
but more slowly because of this way of marking it

slow trickling of time
subjective perception
give recollection space

  1. love your poetic perspective especially
"sewing as an activity opposes acceleration"
this helps me understand the difference between the gestural mark made with pen and in and the quiet in and out of the stitched line

  2. This such a beautiful train of thought. I will carry it with me as I stitch. Thank you for putting it out here for us. Blessings.

    1. You are most welcome.
I am also saving these things for me to come back to - it is a journal really, and journal keeping of all kinds deepens my thoughts and my process.
      blessings to you
