the horizon line

sky above
reflections below
distract me just enough

a view of a lake gives me back my own self

  1. horizons and horizontal lines are calming, soothing, balm to a frazzled soul.

    1. On the wall, the samples I made for the meditation panel workshops. I taught the stitch techniques in Thunder Bay Art Gallery for a two day workshop in 2013, and then just this past fall, I worked in my home studio with three invited participants. I used high contrast black and white for my samples, and now I am trying to put them together into one sampler. The high contrast is problematic.

Here I am trying to calm the variety of marks by placing them under water. ha

  2. drowning them, eh? that'll calm 'em.

I hope that we can have a conversation about creation. Thank you for taking interest. x
