I need to trust

I am working on a piece with a rough velvet grid in the center.  Today I made velvet yo yo's for it while visiting dad.  I just want to say that each day, I do NOT know what is going to come into the piece.

It is growing with it's own life.
It is showing me.

yin yin was like this......I just had to be attuned.

I need to trust.

  1. Trusting your Self, trusting your Hands. Seeing what comes out of your fingertips. That's the fun part of creativity isn't it? (The exasperating, worry-laden part, too.)

    1. knowing when to say to your Self that the path is not the one - that's the hard part.
those yo yo's....they will have to do better if they are to stick around.

  2. i find it hard to stop. i get finished, then continue to fiddle. not nancy, though. she's clear as a bell about when she's finished, and when she is, he lifts that crayon or pen and waits for somebody to turn the page for her then she's off again. she doesn't ponder and stew about what to create, and she doesn't fiddle and question when she's finished.

I hope that we can have a conversation about creation. Thank you for taking interest. x
